Swain Community Hospital Hope Group to Focus on Finding Contentment Through Life’s Challenges
September 16, 2026
Swain Community Hospital’s Senior Life Solutions program invites community members to its upcoming Hope Group on Tuesday, October 6, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at Senior Life Solutions, located at 45 Plateau Street in Bryson City.
October’s discussion will focus on dissatisfaction, exploring the feelings that can arise when life does not look or feel the way we expected. Participants will have an opportunity to discuss questions such as, “Do you ever feel dissatisfied with your life?” and “Do you ever wonder if you will feel content again?” The conversation will offer encouragement and an opportunity to connect with others while exploring mental and emotional well-being.
Hope Group is a free monthly group open to adults of all ages. While Senior Life Solutions is designed to support the mental health needs of older adults experiencing depression, anxiety and other challenges often associated with aging, Hope Group provides a welcoming opportunity for the broader community to participate in conversations surrounding mental wellness.
Each month, Hope Group explores a different topic related to emotional health and everyday life, creating space for education, encouragement and connection. The group can also be a helpful resource for adults supporting aging parents, family members or loved ones as they navigate changes and challenges throughout different stages of life.
Light refreshments will be provided. Those interested in attending are encouraged to RSVP by calling 828.488.4044 or emailing rachel.vining@lifepointhealth.net.
Through programs like Hope Group, Swain Community Hospital remains committed to supporting the health and well-being of the communities it serves and creating opportunities for meaningful conversations about mental wellness.
