Senior Life Solutions at Swain Community Hospital offering community education support for seasonal stress

Bryson City, N.C. – Senior Life Solutions at Swain Community Hospital will offer a free community seminar titled ‘Surviving and Thriving During the Holiday Season’. The session will begin at noon Thursday, November 17th at the Senior Life Solutions office located on the campus of Swain Community Hospital, 45 Plateau St. Light refreshments will be served. “We’re pleased to provide this resource to the community, focusing on successfully navigating the holiday season and dealing with common stressors we all face as the year comes to a close,” said Amanda K. Fugate, program director for Senior Life Solutions.
The session will be led by licensed clinical social worker John Stoeckel.
Senior Life Solutions is an outpatient program facilitating intensive psychiatric care for adults and seniors with Medicare. The program is available to individuals through a physician referral or by self-referral. Individuals in the program have access to psychiatric appointments with licensed clinical social workers as well as monthly appointments with psychiatrist Gerald Travis, M.D., who also serves as medical director of the program.
